2. Which aspects of your academic training were relevant to your profession?
Generally speaking, and starting with my undergraduate degree, it is without doubt a course which stimulates your thought process and reasoning skills, an extremely important tool not only for day-to-day tasks but also in solving problems at work, whether they are mathematical or not. In terms of my masters degree, the fact that we used SPSS was an added value as I use it for my current job. All of the lectured content, especially in the area of statistics, was relevant for my current duties.
3. Who would you recommend your course to?
I recommend it to all those who like Mathematics and who like a challenge.
4. Why the University of Madeira?
I chose to do my Masters Degree at the University of Madeira as I had had a good experience throughout my undergraduate degree at the same university. I was also happy with the fact that the subjects were more focused on statistics, my area of interest. The fact that it is close to home also contributed towards my decision.
