2. Which aspects of your academic training were relevant to your profession?
Statistics is an important tool for planning in any service, but the use of mathematics in my profession goes much further. Knowing how to solve problems by using logical and focused reasoning is a great advantage in day-to-day management and innovation process. Knowledge acquired in programming subjects are important tools for the management of internal information and the analysis of different communication skills required in client communication.

The mathematics undergraduate degree has different purposes, besides the most common jobs such as teaching and pure research, it is a very useful degree with several applications in the area of economics, management, engineering, operational research, amongts others.
4. Why the University of Madeira?
What I most liked about the University of Madeira were the teachers. They conveyed their knowledge and enthusiasm for mathematics by planning interesting lessons. In addition to this, the university's facilities are perfect. The fact that we can stay on our island with the benefit of having our family and friends around is an important factor.
