Undergraduate Degree in Basic Cycle Of Master Integrated In Medicine
Obtaining a Master's degree in Medicine presupposes the successful completion of 6 years (12 semesters) of studies. Currently, the first 4 semesters are taught at UMa, and students transfer to the FMUL when they are able to enter the 3rd year of the curriculum, where they complete the course of study.
The course curriculum is based on an educational model that fosters learning of biomedical sciences, together with the development of practical skills. It favors pedagogical fields of knowledge integration, with programs centered on students, which raise their individual commitment and creativity.

The first four semesters of the Basic Cycle of the Master's Degree in Medicine are based on interinstitutional cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) and the University of Madeira (UMa). This partnership aims to provide access to an increased number of native RAM students, who bring together academic qualifications for medical learning, as well as postgraduate collaboration.
