Overall objectives:

0 Anthropology is a human science which aims at the understanding of human diversity in the world, through the study of biological and cultural evolution of man, their modes of production, social structures, traditions, customs and languages, from the distant past to the present day.

1 Sensitize the student to understand and value cultural diversity, affirming the positive sense of difference and cultural identity, helping to avoid ethnocentric manifestations.

2 Demonstrate that Applied Anthropology aims to improve intercultural relations and that Anthropology and Communication can dialogue with each other.

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitative (0-20)
Evaluation Methodology: Teaching methods combining theoretical classes given by the professor with presentation and discussion of texts and research topics by the students, allow them to develop their own personal path of learning the research methodologies, encouraging reflection and writing. This UC predicts an autonomous effort around 10h per week. Theoretical and practical classes. Students will prepare two papers whose weighting for their final grade is as specified below.1. Individual test (50%) 2. Written and presentation of the research project (12-15 pages) (50%).
