Overall objectives:

- Get to konw concepts regarding operation management of a farm or agricultural enterprise.

 -Get to konw marketing concepts

-To know and identify the types of market, the functions of the brands and the forms of interaction with the consumer.

-Understanding the distribution chains of products and obtain knowledge about merchandising.

-Develop knowledge of trading strategies in determining prices and conditions of sale of the product.

Syllabus:

Get some knowledge how to manage a farm or an agricultural company.

Choose to analyze data needed in the management of a farm or agricultural company
Acquire marketing information.

Get to know and identify market types, brand functions and ways of interacting with the consumer.

Understand product distribution chains and gain merchandising knowledge.

Develop knowledge about trading strategies in the determination of prices and general conditions of sale of the product

Develop and present a business idea

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Written test (50% of the final grade) at day 11 of January 2022.

Practical work (50% of the final grade).

The practical work will be developed in groups of 2-3 elements. Must be submitted in writing and will be subject to presentation in the classroom.

The practical work will be developed by stages being subject to evaluation in the practical lessons. Delivery of the written version-sending the written version in *.pdf format, should be held until the day 10 December, 2020 for jpalmadacardoso@gmail.com and trabalhos@uma.pt obliging the patent guidelines in http://gae.uma.pt/.  

Presentation of the practical work -the presentation of practical work will be performed in class the day 14 December 2019.
