Overall objectives:

1 Understand and describe the main communication technologies and architectures between computers and other devices connected to the network;

2 Understand how the TCP/IP architecture works and the communication services supported by this architecture;

3 Understand how network equipment works and its intended use;

4 Understand and identify the physical transmission media used in computer networks.

2. TCP/IP architecture and communication services supported by this architecture;
3. Network equipment and purpose of use of such equipment;
4. Physical medium of transmission used in computer networks.

Practical Work - 30% of the assessment (minimum grade 9.5)
Mini-test (IP Addressing) - 30% of the assessment (minimum grade 8)
Frequency - 30% of the assessment (minimum grade 8, which can be recovered in Appeal)
Presentation - 10% of the evaluation
