Overall objectives:

• Revisions of some mathematical concepts which are crucial to solve some practical problems.
• Supply the students with new mathematical worktools which will help them to work, grasp and solve several problems related to the realm of their study and which will drop by in several curricular units througout the course.

• Propositional Logic.
• Real-valued functions of a real variable.

Assesssment methods and criteria:

• Two exams, each one with a weight of 50% on the final grade: the first examination is about propositional logic and the second one about real-valued functions along with problem solving.
