Overall objectives:

1 - The goal of the program is to give students a comprehensive and in-depth theoretical and empirical knowledge on the topics of rural development, local development, sustainability, and policies of regional development, in the current context of globalization. Students are also required to understand the logic underlying the localisation of economic activities in rural settings based on appropriated methods. This course is also aimed at providing our students with skills to (basic) solve problems in the field of rural development. Students are also expected to deal with increasingly complex concepts and adapt theoretical concepts and empirical evidence of daily life problems in complex developmental issues.

Evaluation Methodology:
They were structured accordingly, with the principle of 75% of ECTS in distance learning (30h), and 25% in face-to-face activities (10h). To achieve the objectives and execute the program contents, contact hours are distributed into 16 asynchronous hours (TP), 14 synchronous hours (TP), 4 face-to-face hours (S) and 6 face-to-face hours (TC). They include a period of synchronous work with students to frame the syllabus, and asynchronous autonomous activities, which include research, critical reflection and study by students, with the completion of work on the program topics, discussion forums, moderated by teachers . The face-to-face activities will be carried out under the coordination of the conductor, supported by common scripts and protocols, and will involve visiting case studies and applying the knowledge acquired. The continuous performance assessment component and theoretical-practical tests will both have a quote of 30%, the holding of a seminar will have a quote of 40%.
