Overall objectives:

1 - At the end of the course unit, students are expected to have deepened the basic knowledge of the German language, being able to meet the learning goals with regard to understanding, speaking and writing at level B2.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Furthermore, they will have developed metalinguistic awareness of the functioning of the German language in a contrastive way, as well as the competence of autonomous and group work.
2 - This unit places a strong focus on communicative competence and is oriented toward language and communication in the areas of tourism and leisure industry.

Syllabus:

1 - Enhacing the language skills acquired in previous years.
2 - During the contact hours, students will carry out the assignments from the textbook and the additional material dealing with the areas of tourism and leisure industry, under teacher guidance.
3 - During autonomous work, completion of the assignments in the workbook (6.5 hours of work per week) and the supplementary material.
4 - Preparation and presentation of communicative practices such as programs, meetings, interviews
5 - Gathering relevant information from written texts of intermediate difficulty.
6 - Understanding questions, asking for and giving information, news and telephone conversations in everyday and especially professional situations.
7 - Execution of a project work in the areas of Tourism and Leisure.

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Students will work in classes mainly in the following 3 variants: individual, pair and group. The assessment consists of 2 written partial exams (40% each) and a project (20%). The final grade is the average of the results of the 3 assessment elements. A minimum final grade of 9.5 is required in order to pass. During Supplementary Season, students with status N will be admitted if they meet the conditions to recover or improve the test in which they obtained the lowest mark (40%). Students with status T may take one test from the 2 partial exams (80%) in the Supplementary Season. Students admitted to the Special Season may take one test corresponding to the 2 partial exams (80%). The project (20%) cannot be recovered or improved during Supplementary and Special Seasons.
